A mixed-use development to create office space and much-needed student accommodation at a landmark site in Dundee
Greenmarket is an office and residential development on a high-profile site in the heart of Dundee’s Waterfront masterplan on one of the main routes in the city centre. The project is comprised of two buildings: a flexibly designed 75,000 sqft office for BT with additional commercial units on the ground floor and a residential building providing accommodation for students at the nearby University of Dundee. A single-storey commercial unit links the buildings and achieves maximum daylighting for both buildings in their north and south façades.
The sensitive design approach reinstates the street edge, taking its lead both from the Conservation Area that fronts Nethergate and the more recent development on Greenmarket and West Marketgait in Dundee.
