Portman Street is a sensitive restoration of a Category B listed warehouse in Kinning Park, Glasgow, bringing industry back to the building originally serving as an engine works.

Proposals for the building aim to sensitively retrofit to accommodate two innovative businesses that blend fine craftsmanship with precision engineering. Our design approach aims to preserve the buildings architectural character while introducing contemporary internal interventions which are both thoughtful and restrained. A sensitive but contemporary innovation pod overlooking the main workshop will provide a dramatic vantage point for clients and staff alike.

Honouring its historic fabric and robust proportions, the transformation celebrates continuity and reinvention, aligning the legacy of industrial ingenuity with a modern ethos of design excellence and material integrity.
